For first time home buyers, the process can look a little scary.
Are you ready to take that leap?
I get it! Buying a house can be scary if you don't know how the process works. I mean, this could be the biggest purchase of your life, so it's normal to be a little anxious. Here are my tips to make sure you're in the best position to buy a home:
- Identify what you truly need in a home
- Make sure you really know the cost of your new home, including taxes and insurance.
- Start saving now, then look for areas in your current spending where you can cut costs.
- Build your credit and avoid taking out new lines of credit.
- Research your mortgage loan options and other assistance programs
- Get prequalified to narrow your search. Use online mortgage calculators for estimated monthly payments.
- Use your Real Estate Agent! Hiring an agent will ensure your needs and best interests are met throughout the purchasing process. A good agent will do their best to make it a seamless process; while also ensuring you understand each step.
